Watson Library offers several ways for you to obtain the latest edition of the appropriate citation style guide for each class.


  • MLA handbook for writers of research papers. 7th ed. New York : Modern Language Association of America, 2009.  LB2369 .M53 2009   ASK US Desk and on Reserve.
  • A pocket style manual / Diana Hacker.  Boston : Bedford/St. Martin's, c2012. PE1408 .H33 2021


Watson Library has 2 copies of the Publication manual of the American Psychological Association,  2020, 7 ed. - BF76.7 .P83 2020 .  Here also are two online resources:

EFFICIENCY TIP: Online you will find several citation "generators" - just fill in the element boxes.  The resulting citation in your style is a good start HOWEVER, always check each citation with your style manual before turning in your project.  No online citation generator is perfect - you remain responsible for adhering to the required style.  When in doubt, consult the Academic Support Center or a Watson Librarian.
